The new Mustang GT achieved this improved speed through its 5.0-liter V8 engine, which features high-pressure direct fuel injection and low-pressure port fuel injection technology, allowing for improved control and power. Drag Strip Mode, the Mustang GT's newest driving feature, improves and maximizes the 2018 GT's speed and power when driven in a straight line. With over 310 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque, the 2018 Mustang GT packs a punch on the road. Its 10-speed engine, compared to previous models' 6-speed engine, allows for smoother transitions when drivers speed up and slow down, providing relief to the engine to improve its' efficiency.

The Ford Mustang is Welcomed Into Australia

PEKIN, Ill. – This week the Ford Mustang is welcomed into Australia with open arms! With much anticipation, the first batch of muscle cars arrived on the docks of Melbourne just in time for an early Christmas present to buyers.

The Ford Mustang is welcomed to Australia by many fans. The car is sold out for the next 12 months before any have even arrived in showrooms or been taken for test-drives. With over 4,000 Australians having made a deposit on the Mustang, we can only guess they are anxiously waiting this iconic American muscle car.

This was a huge step for Detroit because, in the entire history of the Mustang, this is the first time the sports car was made into a right-hand-drive (RHD) on a U.S. production line. While Mustangs were sold in Australia before in the 1960s and early 2000s, the vehicles were transitioned over to RHD locally before.

The first shipment that Australia received this week consisted of 173 Mustangs. Those Down Under are expecting three more shipments to come their way, leaving them with about 300 vehicles before Christmas. It takes about two to four months for the Mustangs to be shipped from Detroit to Australia.

2016 Ford Mustang Package Options Available

The Ford Mustang Has Gone Global

PEKIN, Illi. - It's official, the Ford Mustang has gone global! For the first time in the iconic pony car's 50-year history, the Mustang will be available to customers worldwide in more than 100 markets. The pony car will be available in both left-and right-hand-drive configurations to meet the needs of customers in the United Kingdom, Australia, and South Africa. The first shipments of the Ford Mustang are currently en route to Asia and are expected to arrive in Europe midyear. 

Make way, make way, the Ford Mustang has gone global! The all-new Mustang is officially joining the other Ford and Lincoln vehicles that have been exported abroad. Not only is this exciting for customers, but also for Ford Motor Company as they are now able employ approximately 3,000 employees at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan. In addition, another 100 jobs have been added to the Port of Portland to support Ford's exports to the Asia Pacific and other markets.

Mustangs that are exported from the United States must undergo a series of steps to ensure that they are compliant with the vehicle standards of the other countries. After specific engineering work is completed at the respective plant, the vehicle receives the finishing touches at their port's homologation center. The vehicles also undergo proper customs documentation and tracking to ensure that Ford can track their progress and delivery to their final destination.

2015 Mustang GT "King Cobra" Package Unveiled at SEMA Show

PEKIN, Illi. - A lot of things went down at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas last week. Some of the industry's biggest leaders were revealing the most impressive concept vehicles of all time; topping one idea after the next. Ford Motor Company was no exception with Ford Racing's debut of a thrilling product built exclusively with Ford Racing performance parts. 

The 2015 Mustang Gt "King Cobra" package was unveiled at the SEMA Show last week and gave attendees plenty to talk about. With a name like King Cobra, they should have known that they were in for a product with some serious bite. Ford Racing has been waiting for the opportunity to get their hands on a 2015 Mustang and develop a series of packages that would push it to the limit. As one of Ford Racing's first performance packages available for the 2015 Mustang, it is definitely setting the bar high. The "King Cobra" is equipped with the "Drag Pack", "Handling Pack", and "Super Pack" supercharger kit, helping to produce an insane 600+ horsepower. 

The Drag Pack allows the Mustang put out an optimal amount of power thanks to its heavy-duty half shafts, and a rear-sub frame kit with pre-installed high-performance bushings to improve traction. The Handling Pack lowers the Mustang one inch with front and rear lowering springs and includes a stabilizer bar kit. The cherry on top of this deadly combination is the Super Pack's 2.3L Twin Vortices Series supercharger assembly; a product co-developed and co-branded by Ford Racing and ROUSH Performance.

The 2015 Mustang GT "King Cobra" Package unveiled at the SEMA Show was built to be a high-performance street-and-drag strip car that can be fully replicated by any Mustang owner with help from Ford Racing's extensive parts catalog. This was one of Ford Racing's main goals. They wanted Mustang owners to be able to open up the Ford Racing parts catalog and have the ability to choose any part that they wanted. Finally, Ford Racing believes that they have created the ultimate package to make this possible - the King Cobra.
