Rumors of a Faster Focus RS

PEKIN, Ill. – The 2016 Focus RS is getting ready to launch for its launch in spring of 2016 and there’s rumors of a faster Focus RS already! How much faster do you ask? Well let’s just say that the 0-62mph isn’t quite cutting it anymore.

The rumors of a faster Focus RS have been flying around this week with company insiders have confirmed that if they get the go ahead this version of the RS will be all about losing weight and powertrain improvements. This better model is aiming to beat its record speed by 0.7seconds. That means 0-62mph in 4.0 seconds.

Ford is going to have to do a lot of readjusting on the Focus RS if they plan on making it work, but we think they can do it. First, the engine would need an upgrade from the original 2.3L EcoBoost that produces 350 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. Next, some weight needs to be dropped off – around 220lbs. Ford plans on trimming the weight by making the body panels carbon fiber reinforced plastic, adding polycarbonate windows, removing noise insulation, and stripping the cabin of any accessories that are not really needed.

The powertrain upgrades would include a better gearbox, since the one they have now works with engines that have a peak torque of 332lb-ft. The new Focus RS will also be more maneuverable with an electronically controlled limited-slip differential on the front axel, which will pair well with the dual-clutch automatic transmission.

There’s no say as to when this fast Focus RS will launch, considering the 2016 model hasn’t even made it to dealers yet, but we’re excited to hear more and we’ll keep you updated.

2015 Mustang GT "King Cobra" Package Unveiled at SEMA Show

PEKIN, Illi. - A lot of things went down at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas last week. Some of the industry's biggest leaders were revealing the most impressive concept vehicles of all time; topping one idea after the next. Ford Motor Company was no exception with Ford Racing's debut of a thrilling product built exclusively with Ford Racing performance parts. 

The 2015 Mustang Gt "King Cobra" package was unveiled at the SEMA Show last week and gave attendees plenty to talk about. With a name like King Cobra, they should have known that they were in for a product with some serious bite. Ford Racing has been waiting for the opportunity to get their hands on a 2015 Mustang and develop a series of packages that would push it to the limit. As one of Ford Racing's first performance packages available for the 2015 Mustang, it is definitely setting the bar high. The "King Cobra" is equipped with the "Drag Pack", "Handling Pack", and "Super Pack" supercharger kit, helping to produce an insane 600+ horsepower. 

The Drag Pack allows the Mustang put out an optimal amount of power thanks to its heavy-duty half shafts, and a rear-sub frame kit with pre-installed high-performance bushings to improve traction. The Handling Pack lowers the Mustang one inch with front and rear lowering springs and includes a stabilizer bar kit. The cherry on top of this deadly combination is the Super Pack's 2.3L Twin Vortices Series supercharger assembly; a product co-developed and co-branded by Ford Racing and ROUSH Performance.

The 2015 Mustang GT "King Cobra" Package unveiled at the SEMA Show was built to be a high-performance street-and-drag strip car that can be fully replicated by any Mustang owner with help from Ford Racing's extensive parts catalog. This was one of Ford Racing's main goals. They wanted Mustang owners to be able to open up the Ford Racing parts catalog and have the ability to choose any part that they wanted. Finally, Ford Racing believes that they have created the ultimate package to make this possible - the King Cobra.

PEKIN, Illi. - A trio of new EcoBoost Expeditions were revealed at the SEMA show in Las Vegas last week, proving that the full-size utility vehicle could be taken to an entirely new level of awesome. New for 2015 are three, one-of-a-kind Ford Expeditions - the Tjin, DUB Magazine, and Vaccar Edition - which have enhanced upon the Expedition's already exceptional foundation of space, performance, and capability.

2015 Ford Expedition by Tjin Edition - 
Staying true to the Expedition's sophisticated roots, the Tjin Edition is meant to showcase the vehicle's capability for towing, daily driving, and its role as the ideal promotional show car. The Tjin Edition has a 365-horsepower 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6 and six-speed automatic transmission. A charge cooler kit from Vortech Engineering, custom tuneup, side exhausted from MagnaFlow, and high-performance oils and lubricants from Royal Purple help enhance the Tjin Edition's horsepower up to roaring 405!

2015 Ford Expedition by DUB Magazine - 
DUB Magazine tacked on additional amenities that take the 2015 Ford Expedition to the next level of style and sophistication. Of course the DUB Edition looks fairly special on the outside with the DUB custom badging, tinted windows, and an integrated radar section system. However, inside of the vehicle is where the magic really happens. There is a top-of-the-line multimedia and sound system, a savvy new seat and upholstery design, as well as customizable remote-controlled LED lighting. The rear seating area features multiple monitors, complete with a video gaming system and wireless headphones, that can be viewed at various angles from both inside and outside of the vehicle. 

2015 Ford Expedition XLT by Vaccar
Vaccar decided to highlight the 2015 Expedition's winter driving capabilities. The exterior of the Expedition was winterized with a custom Vaccar two-tone mountain gray finish, a Vaccar Grill Guardian brush guard bull bar, swivel hooks by Monster Hooks, spring steps and a hitch stop from Go Rhino!, and a Mega Warrior cargo basket from Yakima Products. Snow and ice really do not stand a chance against this bad boy.

Each of these top industry builders started off with a great foundation of space, performance, and capability and from there were able to create a terrific trio like no other. Expect to hear more about these customized 2015 Ford Expeditions very soon! Roush Reveals First Take on 2015 Ford Mustang

PEKIN, Illi. - After Hennessey and Saleen revealed their plans for Ford Motor Company's latest muscle car, we should have known it wouldn't have been too much longer until Roush joined in on the fun. Roush is known for its ability to bring improved handling and bodywork to several other Ford Mustangs and of course the 2015 Ford Mustang is no exception.

Roush reveals their first take on the 2015 Ford Mustang, which includes several different stages of tune for the car. These stages are split into RS, RS1, RS2 and RS3 packages; something Roush fans are already very familiar with. Every package will feature a new body kit complete with a new grille, front bumper, truck lid spoiler and rear diffuser. Roush is also offering plenty of exterior options which include side quarter window, body side and hood scoops as well as a quad-tip performance exhaust system on the RS1 and RS2 package. 

We can except some impressive enhancements from Roush's RS, RS1 and RS2 packages on the 2015 Mustang V-6, Mustang EcoBoost and Mustang GT models. Although major power train upgrades will not be available, you can still expect an impressive 435 horsepower with the RS2's 5.0-liter V-8, 310 hp for the RS1's 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder; and 300 hp for the RS's 3.7-liter V-6. At this point there are not many details on the RS3 package because its use of a supercharger requires additional tuning. 

Along with Roush revealing their first take on the 2015 Ford Mustang, they also presented the public with the pricing for the various packages. The RS upgrade starts at $4,495, $5,895 for the RS1 and $8,495 for the RS2. All packages are covered by Roush's 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.
